A management system based on strategic planning and aligned with the best results for total customer satisfaction. It was with this result that Pred Engenharia managed to consolidate itself in the engineering maintenance market, with strong performance in providing planning services on the life cycle of industrial equipment. Founded 21 years ago and based in Jardim Camburi district of Victoria, the company developed in 2002 a software that provides a suite of integrated solutions for industrial management, called S3I. In 2006, implemented its own model of maintenance management and managed to expand its business throughout Brazil and other Latin American countries.

The method combines quality management concepts and predictive maintenance, in order to increase productivity. "The actions are based on facts and data in a secure, systematic and regular, directly from the equipment on the production line, which reduces costs and increases productivity," says the director of Pred Engenharia, Ozório Rezende Corrêia Filho. With the solution, the company was able to reduce maintenance costs for their customers around 25%, he said. "They are representativity gains, since the cost to maintain industrial machines running is around 20% to 40% of the total cost of production," he explains.

In 2011, at the invitation of VALE, the company, which has 21 employees, entered the production chain program "Sebrae Mais", and new opportunities for improvement and innovation emerged. Strategic planning has been revised, with investments in process improvements. "It was a watershed. We changed our mission and gained visibility," says Rezende. Between 2012 and 2013 the revenues of Pred Engenharia increased 78% and the customer base grew by 15%. "During the period, we maintained 90% of the number of contracts with 93 companies that were already our customers," says the entrepreneur.

To stay competitive in the market, the company invests about 8% of its gross revenue in research and development, and tailored strategic alliances with global giants technology companies. "The next step is to consolidate the company to become a franchise," tells Rezende.

In addition to winning the IEL Award in Management, the company is certified by PRODFOR and was the winner in the "service" and "innovation" of the Espírito Santo Award of Micro and Small Enterprises (MPE Brazil), Brazil Sebrae in 2013.
